The westbound Highway 84 connector to southbound Interstate 680 in Sunol will be closed overnight from Monday to Friday for a widening project, Caltrans said.
Each night the connector will close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 3 a.m. the next morning.
The closure will accommodate the improvement of on- and off-ramps and the widening of southbound I-680 on Scotts Corner. It follows a closure the week before in the same area to allow for the widening of the Calaveras Bridge.
Motorists can avoid the closure by taking the Highway 84 on-ramp to northbound I-680, take the Sunol Boulevard-Castlewood Drive exit and get back on southbound I-680.
