Congratulations Matt and the entire Sweeney family. And Congratulations to the Falcons!!!

Truly a memorable evening, starting with the tribute to Matt's 25 year coaching career. Then, to beat a tough Monte Vista squad.....that just put the icing on the cake.

Good Luck the rest of the season!

Go Foothill!

The Sweeneys are forever a Pleasanton treasure.

Any win over Monte Vista is huge. We don't know how much San Ramon Valley, Granada, & Pittsburg will bounce back, and we don't know how high Cal High & Logan will climb. So thanks to the Sweeneys' enduring presence, Foothill, with typical hard work and precision, just might achieve a second big season as De La Salle's second banana. Any time the Falcons can win enough football games to stand alongside Concord's Spartans, it clearly inspires most if not all of Pleasanton's West Side to strive to greater heights.

Keep it up as long as you want, Coach Matt. Your family means more to your neighborhood and city than ever before.
