Neighborhood hosts invited to join in Pleasanton's 'Night out Against Crime'

Pleasanton will hold its annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6 and the Police Department is seeking neighborhoods interested in hosting the informative and festive street parties.

Involvement in the community is a wonderful idea, and I see this as a wonderful opportunity to remind neighborhood groups that courts rather than neighborhood groups decide punishments for suspected lawbreakers if and when they are proven guilty of a crime in a court of law.

This year I am inviting the Parkside neigbhorhood to our event. We started small a couple of years ago and want to grow.
