Pleasanton Senior Center closed for repairs through next Monday

Original post made on Jun 26, 2013

The Pleasanton Senior Center is closed until July 8 for routine maintenance. All daytime exercise classes have been relocated to the Veterans Memorial Building at 301 Main St. Other drop-in classes and meetings that are typically scheduled in the main hall of the Pleasanton Senior Center also have been relocated, rescheduled, or suspended. During the center closure period, the SNAPPY Café will continue to host lunch in the lobby area of the Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley. For other meal options, Open Heart Kitchen offers a dinner program at Ridgeview Commons (the Ridgeview Café) Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. for a suggested $3 donation. Ridgeview Commons is located at 5200 Case Avenue in Pleasanton. For dinner reservations, call (925) 484-5131.

I had read and was planning on using shuttle from Senior Center to Fair tomorrow, which is senior day. Is that happening? and if so, who does it and where?

I question the timeliness of this decision. I wonder how many seniors would go there as a "cooling place" during this heat wave?

Just a thought.

I just saw the newly refinished hardwood floors at the main event center. They're beautiiful!

I'm confused. The Senior Center is a designated "cooling center" during this heatwave BUT it is closed until next Monday?!? The heatwave will have passed!

Don't miss out on the discussion!
