Before last week, Stella James was just a butter-loving 4-year-old terrier mix who enjoys going on walks, sleeping in later than most dogs and has a guinea pig for a best friend. Now, Stella is Pleasanton's 2023 Ambassadog.

It would be interesting to know and good to include in the story what James' fiance's bid was to win the ambassadog title.
