Sanjay’s writing journey started in his fifth grade when he started writing short stories for a competition called Young Inklings. Out of the five years that he had participated, he had won three times. He wanted to take the writing to the next level by writing a full-length novel, not just a yearly short story. Called Draagonus Adventurus, his first full-length published novel started off as random thought in his head. He started building on this thought - soon, he came up with an entire plot for my novel. He said, “The hardest part is writing down the story; since it is the longest portion, it is easy to get distracted with a new idea. The key is to stay focused and live the characters in your head”.

Sanjay grew up with a love of reading and storytelling. He credits his parents for instilling a love of literature in him from a young age, and he was always encouraged to pursue his passion for writing. He is a president of the school's Astronomy club, officer at the IntAMS Math club, social media manager of the chess club and has won several awards for his public speaking skills. He also participates in various extracurricular activities, including volunteering at his local library and tutoring middle and high schoolers at Learn To Be.
Despite his busy schedule, Sanjay always finds time to write. He credits his success as an author to his love of storytelling and his dedication to his craft.
