Looking toward the future: ACE trains going to 100% renewable diesel

The Altamont Corridor Express announced Tuesday that its trains will now run on 100% renewable diesel fuel, making it the first commuter rail service in Northern California to make the switch.

I would love to see additional focus on delay reduction, real time standardized trip information (not just text messages), and an acknowledgement of where ACEforward fits in. I've asked for these things from the board before. Sometimes you can't avoid delays, but I still see many texts from PTC control or train traffic, or late cancellations of connecting buses.

The locomotive emissions are lowered, but we need more people on the train for that to make a bigger difference.
