I recommend reading Thomas Powers "The Killing of Crazy Horse".
Published Twelve years ago. It is factual History of Americas fearless Warrior and Sioux Indian People. Best ever written since Marie Sandoz.

There are no words to describe how much we will miss Dolores Ciardelli and her "Valley Views" columns in the Pleasanton Weekly. We always looked forward to her wonderfully delightful and heartfelt insights that would inspire, comfort and inform us about what is going on in Pleasanton. She helped us get through COVID when we were sheltering in place with human interest stories and could look to her for upbeat and entertaining columns. Local non-profits could always depend on Dolores to get the word out to promote what they were doing which is so incredibly important. But most of all, Dolores is my friend, colleague, and role model for what a professional and accomplished writer and person should aspire to be. We will truly miss you.

Support local families in need
Your contribution to the Pleasanton Weekly Holiday Fund will go directly to nonprofits supporting local families and children in need. Last year, Pleasanton Weekly readers contributed over $83,000 to support eight safety-net nonprofits right here in the Tri-Valley.
