It would be useful to show pictures of these criminals. I do not want Hispanics blamed for all crimes in Pleasanton. These criminals were not from our wonderful city! Hopefully the juvenile will be charged as an adult…

I loved it when the police took their breaks or did paperwork in the parking lot at the water building at the beginning of Parkside. Haven't seen them there in a long time - good deterrent. I can't imagine the moxy of these young criminals or how why they'd be here.

So young with guns and criminal behavior it hurts my heart. Did the gun have bullets? They took the groceries so they must have been hungry too... I feel bad for everyone involved. The drama for the victims and you aren't born to rob, something drives you there, but it is a choice, there are options out there. We need more opportunities for our young and underserved communities. There would be no crime if we were all on a more even footing of wealth and opportunities. Thank God no one was physically hurt!

Must be one of those native american females again! Then again, for some reason media doesn't show the faces of *certain* criminals; must be a giant coincidence.

Buklau, I can't speak for other media outlets but we tend to wait until charges are filed (or there is a situation in which the photos need to be presented, like the suspect is at large, or a compelling reason with the nature of the crime, like a hate crime).
Because, just like a diamond, a photo on the internet is forever.

Some social media have circulated mug shots of the two that were arrested. I thought they looked like hardened criminals, although they are reported to be in their teens.
I do not understand the "those native American females again" comment. The two arrested are men.

Gina and Claudette:
Consider the following:
“.....On Saturday, April 10, 2021, around 1 p.m., an Asian couple in Pleasanton were robbed at gunpoint by two African-American males dressed in dark clothing, according to East County Today.”
Was this a hate crime ? It very well could’ve been…
I seriously doubt the three young men were hungry....
You will never solve a problem if you cannot honestly recognize and accurately characterize the problem....
