Though I'm glad Pleasanton is doing well, it is getting more and more expensive to live here. We have lived in town for 44 years, and our children were born and raised here. But like so many of our friends, our children cannot afford to live here. I also worry about the businesses in town being able to stay, with ever rising rents. Va Vita, Organic Ice Cream, Tully's are three of the latest to go. Let's hope all the building and growth don't destroy what we have had over the years, our small town charm.
