Obama Rejcts Construction of Keystone XL Oil Pipeline

Original post made by Michael Austin, Pleasanton Meadows, on Nov 6, 2015

Which is the lesser evil, Keystone oil pipeline or moving the crude by rail car?

Which has the least impact on the environment?

With Obama rejecting Keystone pipeline, the rail cars loaded with crude will be an endless reality.

It was never about the oil, or the environment, it was always about the politics.

Not clear that transporting the same amount of oil by rail will be economically feasible. The whole reason for the pipeline is that it would be cheaper than rail transport.
