Red Cross to hold blood drive here Saturday, July 26.
Pleasanton donations can be made at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Blood donations typically decline during the summer months, especially around the Independence Day holiday.
To help prevent a summer blood shortage, donors are urged to make an appointment to donate with the American Red Cross. This is one of a large number of Interfaith blood drives taking place throughout the Bay Area in the month of July. Donors can drop in or register at (use donor code “InterfaithCommunity”) or call 1-800-REDCROSS to make an appointment.
Donations can be made from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6001 Paseo Santa Cruz, in Pleasanton.
For information on eligibility, contact the Red Cross at (866) 236-3276.
