The website mentioned in the article does not have the form.
There are not any forms at the front lobby of the Police Dept.
Is anyone in charge of this event?

The application IS on the PD website. Go to Web Link

Then click the special event application link on the left it comes up.

Kind of ironic that this event is about building communities and people coming together and 2/3 posts so far are whining and complaining.

I think the point was more that the author doesn't check facts, nor does the person submitting info for the article.

There is in fact a link for the form, however it is not the one provided in the article. Indeed the reader has to explore the PD home page to discover the link for "special event application". Why ask the reader to hunt and explore a home page when you can just provide the exact link right in the article? Or at least instructions to look where I mentioned.

Not complaining about community. Bringing attention to article errors. Pleasanton Weekly is great. And free too. But writers need to check their stuff, such as try the links they mention in articles.

Don't miss out on the discussion!
