DeSaulnier announces legislative effort to end poverty

Fifty years ago, President Lyndon Johnson declared a war on poverty. Now, Senator Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) is firing some new shots in that old war.

So a guy wearing a $300 Ralph Lauren sweater is going to cure poverty by studying stats and writing legislation? We really are dumb for electing these people and therefore deserve what we are getting.

This is what happens when the dems run the state. The false appearance of caring for the poor and downtrodden turns into the inevitable lifelong handouts that keep these lemmings voting democrat, so their handouts never end. It's a sad cycle these lifetime losers find themselves on, but that's what the dems are counting on........

The best alternative is to give the rich and the large corporations as many tax breaks as possible. Then they can better invest in foreign operations that will increase their wealth. Then they can live freely even if most of the populace doesn't, because most of the populace are losers.

There is old compassionate lid again… Lets thank our Jerry for leading our state to a surplus… after lid and the terminator, its a wonder that California is on the way back!
