Signature gatherers want to impeach President Obama

Original post made on Jun 3, 2010

Two members of the Larouche Party were near the Pleasanton Post Office on Black Avenue today asking voters to sign a petition to impeach President Barrack Obama. Police said they'd received a handful of complaints.

Bummer! I was there at 4:50 and they were packing up to go. If I'd known what they were doing, I'd have yelled.. "Stop! Wait!! Lemme sign too!"

I do hope the police were taking down the names of those people who attempted to complain. Isn't it time Pleasanton deputized a group of citizens to monitor the community looking for this type of unacceptable behavior? This kind of anti-Obama speech must not be tolerated.

While I personally would rather see Obama behind bars, I wonder how these Larouche members think a Democrat majority congress would ever vote to impeach their messiah. Unfortunately, all three branches of government are aligned against the American people, as designed by the Socialist Democrat party. The chance that Obama would receive impeachment from his fellow Dems is slim to none.

yeah ... that's gonna solve the problem ... This is the same solution to the problem that with took with Nixon, Clinton, Bush and now Obama ... yeah ... instead of looking at the deeper problem let's blame it on a person ... (doesn't matter the party ... remember the ONLY President to get knocked out of office was a very very very conservative Republican) ... this whole line of thinking is STUPID!!!! But, it's no less stupid than our response to all our problems ... it's the environmentalist's fault for the BP oil spill (What?????) ... hey keep it up America ... we're well on the way to being a 3rd world country with this type of social mentality (Oh ... that's right ... we're all college educated ... and WE know what's right ... WRONG!!!)

Here's a quote from one of Ann Coulter's bloggers:

"If I had a choice to have a date with Ann Coulter or plug the oil, I'd be buying Ann a taco bell grande with some extra large martguerita's to make our date the best in the land. Who cares about the oil? It's Obama-dink's problem. Me, I want to hang out with the sexiest gal in the world. Harold, Texas"

Okay ... am I missing something here or am I on another planet. Incidentally I could have used Cholo's response and it would have fit just as well to illustrate my point.

????? I am at a loss ???? yeah go ahead and tell me all the ways to save the country ????? They use to call this logic "toothless"!!!!

I talked to these clowns. They were complaining that Obama was blocking congress from putting the Glass Steagall act back in force. I don't get it. The Republicans don't want to do that either. They couldn't give me any coherent reason why putting Joe Biden or Sarah Palin for that matter in the President's office would accomplish that.

Strange.

The fact that President Obama's picture has a Hitler looking mustache on it is absolutely disgusting. Hitler killed millions of people and Mr. Obama has not.

I would add to the comment of racist-it is also anti-semitic. I would hope people in this community would be outraged that two women depicted the U.S. president as a horrific murderer.

I wish I had been there so I could have taken the sign and ripped it to shreds. You ladies disgust me.

Obama hasn't gotten a BJ from an intern, what is the rational behind this? Oh, he increased taxes on the wealthy, the biggest no-no there is, apparently. Some people (Larouche party) need to find a hobby since all they seem to have to do is stand outside the post office with images of Obama with a Hitler mustache asking a president 500 days in to be impeached. How could anyone take these nimrods seriously?

I love how so many morons here think Obama should be imprisoned. What did he do? Did he break some laws? or are you suggesting that because of the color of his skin? I think the answer is quite obvious.

For the moron who said "Unfortunately, all three branches of government are aligned against the American people", wake up and smell your stinking socks. It's We the People of America, aka American people, who voted Obama and the current congress into office. If you don't like it, LEAVE OUR COUNTRY! Get lost...adios.

To "clueless", the truth of the matter is, Obommer, like Bush, etc.etc., are selected for the job, and it isn't by people. To begin with the elections are a fraud. The voting machines are just part of that. Even bigger is the media. They portray whoever as whatever they are told to by the real rulers of America, the Banksters, you know(or dont know), the same International Bankers that own the Federal Reserve Bank. For most, the media decides who they are going to vote for. After the elections, nobody actually keeps tabs on what the "winners" do. You get all your info from the same media that fooled you into supporting either one puppet or the other. Obommer has done the exact opposite of what he promised he would do, as he was playing his part in the run up to the election. Are you aware of the Exectutive Orders he has signed? Do you even know what an Executive Order is? The media does not publish most of what he does, and for good reason. If the people knew what Obommer and Bush etc. etc. have done behind closed doors, there would be a revolution before tomorrow. Using Executive Orders, a whole string of presidents have created laws that essentially void the Constitution. That is FACTUAL. Any president can now declare Martial law for whatever reason he chooses to, which will suspend ALL of the rights that you think you have, indefinitely. It is all in placed, Congress will be suspended immediately for 6 months and Fema will take charge. You and 99% of Americans are completely clueless to this. GO FIGURE! You doubt what I say? Do you have the guts to find out? NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/NSPD 51. HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/HSPD-20. Have at it, and thers more than that, much more. Our selected criminals in DC have been very busy while most were being entertained by whatever floats your boat. The boat is taking on water real fast. Fema will throw you an anchor.

Everybody wants to bitch about this or that. Nobody has a clue as to what needs to be fixed. Two things, if we don't fix two things it is all history for every American. END THE FED(Federal Reserve Bank) and get out of the United Nations. Everything else is absolutely nothing compared to those two monsters. Either WAKE UP or SHUT UP! This is the eleventh hour. I spoke to them. They could not even form a coherent argument. They don't know what an impeachable offense is, or what fascism is. They had no concept of how they were dishonoring the people who died in the Holocaust, the American soldiers who fought in that war, and numerous others by their ridiculous comparison between Obama and Hitler. They tried to compare health care reform to mass genocide.
I take umbrage with the fact that the President of the United States was portrayed in such a disrespectful manner in front of both a post office and a pre-school.
Stacy, LaRouche is not ultra-left. He morphs back and forth but dumped his Marxist leanings in the 70's and picked up some far-right issues along the way.

I'm reminded of being downtown last year when some other activists were present. I was standing next to a fellow who turned to me and remarked, "Isn't that a disgrace?"

I replied, "You know, I don't have to agree with them to realize that in many places in the world, they'd be hauled off by the government for doing that. I'm grateful to be reminded how lucky we are to live here."

This was obviously not the reply he expected, but I still believe it.

Tell me which part of any protest against the president is racist? It's a conveneint excuse to try to silence the majority that oppose his policies, but it's a lazt weak excuse for not communicating a valid counter point.
Imagine if those women we black; would you raise a fuss about that or say it's racist because Obama is supposedly half white?

People do you really think that Obama gives a flying ... about us... the only thing he cares about is his own agenda. He so set on his personal agenda that he isn't even concerned about the oil, it's just a distraction from his master plan to become a socialist country... People do not realize that every decisions he makes is going to effect are country for generations.. Doesn't matter witch side of the fence your on you have got to see the reality of the future that is being left for the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to clean up this mess were in. I didn't even vote for Bush but I cant tell you I am sick and tired of not having a president in charge that can't MAN-UP and take care of this country.... We look weaker everyday, prime for a take over........ It's happening from every stage front, just look around.. By the way,I am a AMERICAN ... I am tired of being called a racist... I am automatically a racist becasue I'm white.. I don't think so and I'm tried of being called one just becasue I question the president... Isn't that are job and American citizens...

So far, this President has been the only one with balls to rebuild this country after Bush and others destroyed it. We should have the right to say and feel what we want too, with out being called crazy, ignorant and racist. This page asks for COMMENTS... That's what they are and everyone has a right to them....
Before you tell people my way or leave the country, Remember your own words, you may fight and be passionate about the president now, but both future and past presidents deserve that same respect. And people need to be willing to support them the same as you support the current president.. Every president needs to MAN UP to the job, or don't run for it.... I question the president... Isn't that are job and American citizens... Were would we all be tomorrow if we all agreed on everything and there was nothing worth feeling for...

It should be noted that regardless of our opinions on the matter,
in many countries people would not have the right to speak their minds in public without grave consequences!
I am not a fan of Obama AT ALL, but he is our president and that position is one that should be respected. I would not express myself in such a negative manner in front of my kids, but they do know my feelings.
There was a person in front of the Dublin post office holding an impeach Obama sign also. He was black, a man, and in his 40's, so I think we can say this is not a racist or sexist matter.

A lot of people are taking advantage of or hiding behind the "race card" and or the "anti-semitic card" factor, sometimes to the point it is criminal. If one used that trump card to their advantage knowing that is was not true, would that make him/her guilty of being the racist?

I found the falling on the web the other day and I agree with it:

"When the government of any nation forgets its people and, instead, focuses on defending and promoting the interests of powerful corporations, you no longer have a Democracy. Instead, you have a Plutocracy, where the wealthy elite control the political process and use laws to further enrich themselves at the expense of the public.
It's an accurate description of what's happening in America today: The public is no longer represented by the Senate, the FDA, the USDA or the EPA. Instead, each of these governmental bodies (legislative for the Senate, executive for the other departments) is now operating in the interests of corporations. Campaign finance reform, of course, is impossible under such circumstances, since no corporate-controlled Senate will ever vote to cut itself off from corporate money. Thus, the only outcome of the situation is a further erosion of the integrity of U.S. legislative processes to the point where the public is impoverished, the nation is bankrupt, and the corporations run the government." Web Link

If you don't see that Obommer, like Bush, is promoting a hidden agenda that does not serve the best interest of this countries citizens , you are not paying attention. It is not all that hidden either. You have to go deeper than what you see on TV or read in the paper though, if you want to find any truth. It takes some effort and it will cut into your entertainment time. While Americans are being entertained, we are losing our country.

If you want a very interesting and knowledgable read, go to the link that I provided. To be honest, you really need to learn about the subject (fluoride) and how it is adversely effecting yor health. It also demonstrates the power of the corporations to determine government policy which increases their proffits but poisons us(especially children) and the environment. Since it's been going on for 70 years and crossing back and forth both political party lines, it adds to the proof that all of the presidents and/or Congress in that time period have been promoting an agenda that is not in our best interest. If it's broke you fix it. It's broke and they doing nothing about it. As far as they are concerned, it isn't broke then. As far as they are concerned, our concerns do not matter.

A good example:
Most of Europe has passed laws that ban fluoride supplementation to their drinking water. These people have done their research. The State of California on the other hand, in 1995 mandated that fluoride be added to the drinking water in the state.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Godwin's Law yet.

From Wikipedia: Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's law of Nazi Analogies)[1][2] is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990 which has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[3][2]

Godwin's law is often cited in online discussions as a deterrent against the use of arguments in the widespread reductio ad Hitlerum form. The rule does not make any statement about whether any particular reference or comparison to Adolf Hitler or the Nazis might be appropriate, but only asserts that the likelihood of such a reference or comparison arising increases as the discussion progresses. It is precisely because such a comparison or reference may sometimes be appropriate, Godwin has argued[4] that overuse of Nazi and Hitler comparisons should be avoided, because it robs the valid comparisons of their impact.

Basically once you start bringing Hitler into the debate you have lost all credibility which these women did.

I was at the post office and saw this set up with the Hitler posters and even though I am politically conservative I thought it was ridiculous. When I was leaving the post office I saw a man yelling at them and decided to go over and have a "intelligent debate" with them. Here is how it played out. I use the term:

Me: Hi, first of all let me tell you I believe in free speech and whether I agree or disagree with you I firmly believe you have the right to express your opinions and that if people disagree they can debate it with you rationally and they don't have to yell.

woman # 1: thank you for that

Me: Let me tell you that I am conservative politically AND I am Jewish which is very rare as most Jews are liberal. With that being said I probably agree with some of the stuff you are saying about Obama's policies, but to depict him as Hitler is an insult to the 6 million Jews that were killed by him.

woman # 1: Obama is worse then Hitler and he is going to kill more then 6 million people if he's allowed to continue (I should also add that at this point she is already starting to raise her voice to me).

Me: You've got to be kidding me. I don't care what Obama does he's never going to march millions of people into ovens.

woman # 1: It may not be ovens, but it may as well be Obama is a Facist...

Me: (I interupt her) Facist, can you even tell me the definition of a Facist?

woman #1: We all know what Facist's are (obviously she didn't)

Me: Listen all I'm telling you is you would get your message across better if all you did was NOT depict Obama as Hitler. It doesn't do your organization any good. Jews certainly aren't going to like it.

woman #2: Plenty of Jews are on our side and I am Jewish. A matter of fact my Great Grandmother was in a camp during the holocaust.

Me: Well I'm assuming she's not alive and she would be spinning in her grave if she could see what you're doing. Again all I'm saying is I probably agree with you on some of your points, but you're never going to get it across this way. You just look like lunatics and you're just as bad as the lunies on the other side, like Code Pink.

woman #1 - listen if you don't agree with us then we don't need you here.

Me: see that's what I mean you are just as bad as the other side. You cannot have an intelligent debate on anything and it's either your way or the highway.

I then proceeded to leave. I wanted to call some people and create a counter protest, but didn't have time. I can assure you I will if I ever see them again.

By the way I used the term woman above loosely. I should have said girls because that's what they were. I could tell from talking with them they knew nothing about the real issues and were doing this for the attention. I'm not saying this as some old codger, I'm only 45. It was so obvious that if they were to debate me they would not have a prayer.

Let's not forget that Bush was portrayed as Hitler and when that was happening there were plenty of liberals who condemned that portrayal as well. I've seen a lot of these types of people on tv, but never come face to face with people who have this twisted logic and it was a real eye opener.

The solution to neutralizing Obama's policies is on election day in November 2010. If we replace enough Democrats with Republicans, Libertarians, and TEA Party candidates, then Obama becomes relataively powerless for the last 2 years of his first (and only) term.
The people with a sign have an obvious First Amendment right to express their views. However, impeaching Obama would not occur with the Democrat controlled Congress that we have now, and then we would just end up with Joe Biden.
The opponents of the people with the sign resort to what is the typical left-wing tactic of attacking the person rather than discussing the ideas. Left-wingers: If you disagree with someone's ideas, discuss the ideas; don't malign the speaker.
Also, don't "play the race card" anymore. It's not working. People who disagree with Obama's policies do so based on principles, not based on the color of anyone's skin.

I can't believe how this city is being turned inside out by idiots, both afield and on this comment thread. Greed and self-servitude seems to have become mainstream, as well as the collective and selective short-attention span. And now Pleasanton is infected.

Where was all the grumbling when the country began getting flushed down the crapper under Bush and his greedy cronies in Congress?

Yeah - these folks aren't at all racist. Not at all.

Okay, If you want honesty I admit that I do not like Obama because he is a black Liberal Democrat. One the other hand I love JC Watts because he is a black Conservative Republican.

Name one city, state, or Country that is led by a black Liberal that is successful.

Bunjo, have you ever considered that Godwins Law may be more propaganda and designed to suppress free speech. There is much more Nazism, Communism, Socialism, Facism, the "isms" at play than people know of or are willing to admit. Did you know that after World War II, the US put some of the Nazis directly into the CIA? Germany may have lost the war, the Nazis did not. If not for American Corporations, Hitler would not have risen to power like he did. Same corporations made the German war machine what is was also. Standard Oil was an essential part of that. Prescott Bush(George W Bush grandfather) had a big part in financing Hitler and he also benefitted from the labor of prisoners held in concentration camps in Poland. Call them what you want, but the "Nazis" are alive and well. Info is everywhere on the internet.Web Link

First, let me say that I'm no fan of President Obama. Now, for these ugly bitter ladies who have nothing better to do with their time than collect a few signatures from some Pleasanton residents (which accomplishes nothing) - GET A LIFE! If you're that bored, volunteer your time at a charity.

Sounds like a lynch mob to me.
I am deeply sickened by the hitler moustache.
I can only attribute that to stupidity.
The underlying motivation here seems to be racist. Perhaps that moustache should have been worn by those who were protesting.

Lisa, were you offecnded by the posters of Bush portraying him with a Hitler mustache and swastikas? I doubt it.

Whatever the agenda of these Lyndon laRouche followers, they are protected by the Constitution. And for Janna, Scooder, and a host of others out there, Lyndon LaRouche followers are leftists; they are not Bush supporters. Racists? Maybe, but it's not against the law to dislike people of different races.

"Racists? Maybe, but it's not against the law to dislike people of different races. "

FYI
I am offended by hitler and his moustache, swastikas and racism in any context.
What you do or do not doubt is irrelevant.
Your comments speak to your character.

I'm a moderate republican, and I don't agree with all of Obama's politics, but I believe he is our nation's leaders and deserves some respect, considering the insane odds he's beat to be where he is now. He serves as an inspiration to me, and things like calling for his impeachment, especially in a predominantly white upper class community like Pleasanton are blatantly racist, but not your average "I'm an ignorant and prejudiced fool" racism, more like "Deep down I'm racist, but I cover my racism with a cloak of patriotism." Things like this are sickening. These people need to read real news (the economist, Cnn) and start acting and thinking rationally. This is an outrage.

To: mark, a resident of another community, on Jun 5, 2010 at 2:31 pm. You obviously took the concept of Goodwin's Law a) to seriously and b) too literally so let me simplify it.

What it basically says is that what Hitler did was so vile, disgusting and the worst thing a human being could ever do. Therefore if in any debate a person describes someone as being like Hitler, they have lost the argument to their absurdity.
