Welk said she loves the event, which gives any downtown Pleasanton business the opportunity to participate and see the anticipated 800 wine lovers stroll through their location. In all, she said 20 businesses throughout downtown will transform into pouring stations and tasting rooms for the event.
"All the wineries that will be poured are local, and our community loves supporting local," Welk said. "This is a great opportunity for people to gather with friends and family again while strolling at their own pace to different locations. Event guests will be introduced to locations who are new here on Main Street."
The Summer Wine Stroll occurs between 5-8 p.m. Saturday (May 7). This year, Main Street will be closed to cars and open only for pedestrian traffic for the event.
Tickets, $50, are available at www.pleasantondowntown.net or at the event for $60. Ticket holders begin their stroll at the Museum on Main, 603 Main St., and receive a commemorative wine glass, event map, tasting at each of the participating businesses and bites, where available.
