The doors to the dining room open at 7 p.m. for guests to enjoy a three-course dinner choice of filet mignon, Covina sea bass or vegetable risotto served with appropriately paired wines.
Between courses, the traditional 2-bit auction will take place, with guests betting quarters on a variety of small prizes.
"Many guests return year after year for the great food and wine," museum executive director Jim DeMersman said. "But they also love the 2-bit auction, a fast-paced live auction where guests can win prizes for the equivalent of 2 bits, equal to one quarter."
Another fun highlight of the evening, he noted, is the heads and tails game. Players stand and place their hands on their heads or their "tails," and the auctioneer tosses a coin. Those who guessed correctly stay in the game until there is just one person left, who wins half of the pot.
The evening concludes with a drawing for more than a dozen items contributed by community members.
Tickets are $100 per person and may be purchased at www.museumonmain.org, at Museum on Main, 603 Main St., during regular operating hours or by phoning the museum at 462-2766.
