One person is dead and another was taken to a hospital after a head-on crash on Pleasanton Sunol Road in unincorporated Alameda County early Thursday morning, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The two-vehicle crash was reported at 5:16 a.m. just south of Koopman Road and an off-ramp for southbound Interstate 680.
One person died and another was taken to Eden Medical Center with minor injuries, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn said.
The name of the person who died is not yet being released.
