A series of lively events is slated to kick off at Wente Vineyards in Livermore this month for the spring and summer seasons.

Celebrating its 140th anniversary, the winery is set to host a special Mother's Day event this weekend followed by a Father's Day celebration next month, as well as its annual White Party and a "Wine Wednesday" event for locals, visitors and returning guests alike.

"We’re so excited to officially announce this year’s spring and summer events lineup," said Aly Wente, fifth generation winegrower and vice president of marketing and customer experiences.

She continued, "Our White Party is always our most popular annual event, so we can’t wait to bring it back for our 140th anniversary year. We’re also thrilled to announce our summer concert series, Wine Wednesday, as well as this year’s special Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events. Enjoying wine as a celebration – big or small – is really what we are all about, and we love offering new and returning guests all these opportunities to embrace and celebrate the warmer seasons, and to experience the very best of Wente Vineyards."

The first event in the lineup is set for this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. when guests are invited to bring their families to Wente to celebrate Mother's Day. The event will feature food vendors such as Que Squared BBQ and HP Taco Truck as well as live music from Tri-Valley native Meredith McHenry.

During the event, guests are permitted to bring blankets and low chairs for the lawn. Family members of all ages are welcome to the event, with the exception of pets, and wine by the bottle will be available for purchase on site. No reservations are required, and guests will be welcomed on a first come, first served basis.

Later this month on May 28, Wente Vineyards' White Party returns. From 1-5 p.m. the winery is welcoming guests to dress up in their favorite all-white attire for a day of music, dancing and Wente's award-winning wines.

General admission tickets are $95 per person and include a gourmet boxed lunch with a choice of veggie or turkey, as well as a glass of wine upon entry. Additional wines by the bottle will be available for purchase.

White Party guests can also opt for the VIP White Party Table option, which includes a reserved table, gourmet boxed lunch, and a glass of wine upon entry, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine from the special event wine menu. The shaded VIP pavilion can accommodate up to 10 guests.

This Father’s Day, on June 18 from noon to 5 p.m., Wente is set to host a special day on the lawn. Guests of all ages – with the exception of pets – are invited to bring their own blankets and low chairs for first come, first served seating. The day will include live music, wine and food from Que Squared BBQ, New Tradition and Your Taco Guy. Wine by the bottle will also be for purchase on site.

To close out the special event series, Wente is hosting Wine Wednesday on July 26 from 5-8 p.m. The patio will be buzzing with wine and live music. Wines by the bottle and snacks from the winery's own kitchen will be available for purchase. No outside food or alcohol will be permitted. The event is complimentary and all guests over the age of 21 are welcome.

Although the event series comes to an end in July, Wente will still be bustling with activity well into October with its tribute band concert series that kicks off in June. Wente also announced that its tasting lounge is now open on Mondays, so guests may visit Thursday-Monday.
