Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin city officials will host a mandatory virtual grant application workshop next Thursday (Dec. 9) for Tri-Valley residents seeking funding from a variety of community development, human services, housing, youth and civic arts grant programs for the 2022-23 fiscal year.
All three cities have grant programs offering funding for a number of projects and initiatives around the Tri-Valley, and expect to collectively issue more than $1.44 million in grants during the next year.
The workshop is geared toward nonprofit and public organizations that serve Tri-Valley residents, with most grants focused on activities benefiting low-income individuals. Among the services supported by the various grant programs are healthcare for the uninsured, rental assistance and housing rehabilitation, substance abuse counseling, domestic violence and homeless shelters, and child abuse prevention.
City staff will give an overview of the application processes during the workshop, which is set for Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Attending the workshop is required in order to apply for grant funding from any of the three cities.
