Alameda County Grand Jury report is out

The Alameda County Civil Grand Jury's 2019-20 final report has now been released online.

Topics in this year's report include: "Disaster Preparedness: How Ready is Alameda County?," "Jail Inspections in Alameda County," "Alameda County General Services Agency Too Often Fails at Capital Projects" and more.

Civil grand jurors work on a volunteer basis (paid $15 per day plus mileage) during a fiscal year to investigate aspects of local government and municipalities to ensure they're working in the public interest and being handled appropriately. Their investigations are often complaint-driven.
