Multiple agencies worked to knock down a vegetation fire in open space near Morgan Territory between Livermore and the San Ramon Valley on Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out around noon on Father's Day in the area of Highland Road. Cal Fire reported soon after that the wildland fire had charred an estimated 10 acres, but firefighters had the blaze 75% contained by mid-afternoon with some units and equipment being released from the scene. The status of containment was not updated as of 8 p.m. Sunday.
In addition to Cal Fire, Alameda County Fire Department and San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District crews assisted in the response, which included ground and aerial attacks.
