Fire damages former Livermore school buiding

Blaze in two small structures deemed suspicious by fire department

Firefighters extinguished a suspicious fire Thursday morning behind a Livermore school building.

Firefighters from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department responded at 11:05 a.m. to a report of a fire at 543 Sonoma Ave.

When they arrived, firefighters saw a column of smoke and discovered that two small structures were on fire. Both fires were extinguished.

No one was injured, according to fire officials.

The school district sold the property and escrow is scheduled to close next month.
