Dublin to host its 33rd annual tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. today

Visitor from North Pole due to arrive as ceremony ends

The city of Dublin will celebrate the start of the holiday season with its traditional lighting of the tree at the Dublin Civic Center at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Seasonal entertainment will be provided by the Dublin High School choir and the Wells Middle School jazz band.

After the performance, the public should be on the lookout for a very special visitor from the North Pole.

Guests can enjoy hot cocoa and cookies after the event in the Civic Center lobby. Admission is free.
