Special autumn exhibits at Firehouse Arts Center

'Bridges', mixed media works on display in Harrington Gallery

"Bridges" by Belinda Lima is part of one of the two displays in the lobby and hallways of the Firehouse Arts Center as part of the Harrington Gallery's special art exhibits.

Lima uses large format recycled paper collages to depict abstract Bay Area cityscapes; her vibrant works depict the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and other iconic locations, and will be on exhibit through Dec. 17.

The other display, which will be shown through Nov. 12, features mixed media works from artist Pam Fingado's Meditation Series, designed to pull the viewer from the physical sensation of light and color into the inner world of consciousness.

The Firehouse Arts Center is located at 4444 Railroad Ave.; call 931-4848.
