Pleasanton holiday parade set for Saturday, Dec. 3

Floats, marching bands plus civic, city, business, community, youth groups participating

Pleasanton's annual Hometown Holiday Celebration is scheduled for Saturday evening, Dec. 3.

The event will include a festive, hour-long parade, on Main Street with the city's tree lighting ceremony following in front on the Museum on Main.

Many downtown merchants and restaurants will be open for holiday shopping during the parade, with

decorated floats, high school marching bands and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

All businesses, families, individuals, groups, organizations and residential communities are invited to participate in the parade.

The deadline for parade entries is Nov. 23.

Volunteers are needed for many aspects of this year's parade. Those interested can sign up at the Hometown Holiday website or by calling (925) 931-5352. High school students can earn Community Service hours by volunteering at the event.
