Parade photos accompany this story

More than 2,000 players and coaches marched on Main Street Saturday in the 45th annual Pleasanton Youth Soccer Kick-off Parade with hundreds more parents and friends cheering from the sidewalks.

The boys' Ballistic United Soccer Club and girls' RAGE teams were staged by age group and paraded in their soccer uniforms and many in colorful costumes made for the event.

The Pleasanton Weekly was there, photographing the event with pictures of many of the teams now posted on the Weekly's website.
