Finance workshop at 1 p.m. today for veterans in Pleasanton

Event features Elizabeth Fulgaro, certified financial coach

The Pleasanton Public Library is hosting a one-hour workshop Monday afternoon aimed at introducing military veterans to financial planning strategies.

"Everyone has challenges with planning successfully for their financial futures, and some veterans find the task a particular challenge," city officials said in a statement ahead of the workshop.

Set for 1-2 p.m. in the Tulancingo Room at 400 Old Bernal Ave., the event will feature Elizabeth Fulgaro, a certified financial coach with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Northern California.

Participants can sign up for complimentary follow-up appointments to give them the chance to talk about their specific financial situation in a confidential setting.

Space for Monday's workshop is limited; reservations are encouraged but not required, according to city officials. For more information, call the Adult Reference Desk at the library, 931-3400.
