Burns between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m will be in small, low fire intensity sections

The Alameda County Fire Department will be conducting a controlled training burn at Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area in Dublin between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m Thursday.

The burns will be conducted in small, low fire intensity sections.

A fire department representative said these training burns are carefully planned and monitored, and must meet strict criteria of fuel conditions, weather parameters, smoke management and fire safety guidelines.

The county fire department will monitor the burn and be on high alert to mitigate any possible risks to residents, the representative said.
