Tune up those brakes and grab your helmet, the 22nd annual Bike to Work Day is today.
Cyclists in Pleasanton are heading to work -- and school -- Thursday morning as part of the event, which aims to encourage two-wheeled commuters.
Bicyclists can stop by "energizer" stations located around the city to grab free snacks, water and other items such as a canvas bag filled with goodies.
Energizer Station sponsors include Alameda County Public Works Agency, Alameda County Safe Routes to School, BART, the cities of Pleasanton and Dublin, Hacienda, Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority, ClubSport Pleasanton, Dublin Cyclery, REI Dublin, New Leaf Community Market, Veeva Systems, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, My Buddy Bike Shop and Foothill High School.
