Amador Valley DECA scores 75 awards in managerial competition

Students tested in marketing, advertising, other areas

Amador Valley High's DECA program earned 75 awards in a recent managerial competition in San Ramon, including 14 first-place awards.

The team competed in the Northern California Career Development Conference in San Ramon from Jan. 15-17. Team members left with 14 first-place awards, nine second-place awards and seven third-place awards.

The competition tested students' skills in management, advertisement, marketing and other subjects.
