Sister City group looking for Pleasanton students interested in summer exchange

Informational meeting set for Feb. 16

The Pleasanton-Tulancingo Sister City Association is recruiting students and families interested in taking part in the organization's annual summer exchange program with students from Mexico.

An informational presentation for students and parents is scheduled for Feb. 16 at the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Office, 777 Peters Ave.

To participate, students must live in Pleasanton (or the greater Tri-Valley), be in high school with two years of Spanish language courses or equivalent experience and must have a desire to immerse themselves in a new culture, association officials said. Families must also be willing to host a visiting Mexican student.

For more info, call student exchange director Margo Tarver at 846-8456 or visit www.ptsca.org.
