Mendocino on display in Tri-Valley

Works by Pleasanton watercolorist Charlotte Severin are part of the exhibit "Mendocino Memories," this month at the Livermore Civic Center Library Gallery, featuring the works of Pleasanton and Livermore artists.

"We went at the end of September for a week of en plein air painting, and this showing is the result of everyone's inspiration," Severin said. "Everyone enjoyed painting and photographing the old historic buildings, wild coast and natural bridges."

Painters in the show are Stephen Barkkarie, Bonnie Bartlett, Kathleen Elm, June Ferreri, Helene Hallett, Mary Jane Hassman, Dorothy Maestas, Carolyn Ramsey and Severin; photographers are Carole Hilton and Justin Trent. A free artists' reception is being held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. The gallery is located at 1188 S. Livermore Ave.
