Vonheeder-Leopold elected to board that advocates for wastewater agencies

Dublin San Ramon Services Director Georgean Vonheeder-Leopold has been elected to serve a three-year term on a state sanitation board.

Vonheeder-Leopold was elected to the California Association of Sanitation Agencies, a non-profit corporation that advocates for public wastewater agencies regarding regulatory, legislative and legal issues, by members of the association during a mid-August conference of wastewater professionals, according to a DSRSD release. She was also appointed to the association's Education Foundation board.

She has served on the DSRSD board since 2009 and also served from 1992 to 2000. Vonheeder-Leopold also serves as an Alternate Special District Representative to the Alameda County Local Agency Formation Commission.

She will serve on the state water board and the DSRSD board concurrently.

The DSRSD provides wastewater on contract to Pleasanton, as well as water to Dublin, areas of San Ramon and the Dougherty Valley.
