35 new stores opening Aug. 13 as San Francisco Premium Outlets expands

Outlet center at I-580/El Charro Road adding 185,000 square-feet

San Francisco Premium Outlets will open its new 185,000 square-foot addition Aug. 13 with 35 new stores next to its retail center at I-580 and El Charro Road.

The expansion will boast additional luxury and designer names, including Byer California's first Bay Area brick-and-mortar store.

Other retailers opening at the outlet mall in Livermore are A/X Armani Exchange, CH Carolina Herrera, Ermenegildo Zegna, Jimmy Choo, Rag & Bone New York, Scotch & Soda, Ted Baker London, Tory Burch, UGG Australia, Versace and Vince.

As a result of the center's growth, existing retailers Armani Outlet and Michael Kors will relocate to larger retail spaces in the expanded center.

"We're thrilled to welcome this wonderful group of iconic brands and luxury names to San Francisco Premium Outlets this summer," said Dave Ackerman, director of Marketing and Business Development.

The shopping center, originally called Livermore Premium Outlets, opened in 2012. Its marketing area has grown to include the entire Bay region, including the Peninsula, Silicon Valley, North Bay and all of the East Bay, Ackerman said.

The outlet mall currently employs 2,000 full and part-time employees and has added another 750 retail positions with the opening of its expansion.

Byer California, an American fashion brand known for its unique and affordable styles for more than 50 years, will offer special hourly drawings for major discounts and giveaways, including daily $100 gift certificates, when it opens at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Byer California's specials, which will include contests to win pieces from the store's new collection and styling tips from celebrity fashion blogger Brittany Hart, will be available during the San Francisco Premium Outlets four-day opening festivities.
