'Defeat the Drought Water Expo' today in Dublin

Learn how to transform thirsty lawns into water-efficient gardens

The Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) is co-hosting a "Defeat the Drought Water Expo" from 9 a.m. to noon today at the Dublin Public Safety Complex on Clark Avenue.

Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-Dublin), whose district includes Pleasanton, will be on-hand to meet with community members.

Expo discussion topics will include free water-saving devices, rebate information and learning to transform thirsty lawns into water-efficient gardens. Attendees can also suggest 5-minute songs for KKIQ to play during its "Power Shower Hour" weekdays 6-7 a.m.

Pleasanton, Dublin and San Ramon residents can also sign up and receive training on how to use the DSRSD recycled water fill stations. The Dublin fill station, located at the complex, will have one-time-only Saturday hours during the event.

For more information, visit the DSRSD website.
