Local baseball team wins N.Y. tournament

 

The local Headfirst 10U Bercovich baseball team took home the division championship in the league's week-long Cooperstown N.Y. Tournament, finishing off its 8-1 tourney record with a 9-5 victory in the title game June 18.

The 12-player team consists of Pleasanton residents Gabe DeBenedetto, Danny McInnis and Aidan Perry, along with young athletes from Dublin, San Ramon and Hayward. Team manager was Robert Morales.
