District praises workers for critical services they provide

Pleasanton Unified School District has been recognizing its classified employees during Classified Employees Week, which ends Friday.

In a a resolution unanimously adopted at the school board, the district praised classified employees for the critical services they provide to the Pleasanton schools and students.

They support and enhance the educational process by assisting students and teachers, transporting students, preparing nutritious meals, maintaining buildings and grounds, and performing technical, business, clerical and secretarial functions.

"Classified employees have a huge impact in supporting our students, schools and parents," said Pleasanton schools superintendent Parvin Ahmadi. "They are an integral part of our PUSD team and provide the most effective, supportive learning environment for students."

District officials encourage community members to thank a classified member who has had a positive influence on their life.
