Pleasanton school board, City Council holding joint meeting tonight

Two governing agencies to discuss issues of mutual interest

The Pleasanton City Council and Pleasanton Unified School District board of trustees will hold their annual joint meeting at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss issues if mutual interest.

The meeting, to be held starting at 7 p.m. n the school district headquarters, 4665 Bernal Ave., will include discussions on:

- Youth in Government day;

- The recent demographic study of school-age children;

- Status of the East Pleasanton Specific Plan;

- Public use of tennis courts at Amador Valley High School, and,

- Traffic problems at Amador Valley High.

In addition to members of the City Council and school board, City Manager Nelson Fialho and School Supt. Parvin Ahmadi also will participate.

The meeting will be broadcast live by Tri-Valley Community Television on Channel 28, and will be re-broadcast in the coming days.
