AVHS freshman takes crown in international jiu-jitsu event


Pleasanton teen Gabriel Alviar, a freshman at Amador Valley High, took first-place in his division at the IBJJF Pan Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Long Beach earlier this month.

The event featured international competitors vying in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
