Linda Flagler honored as Pleasanton's 'Classified Employee of the Year'

Administrative secretary has been with school district for 20 years

Pleasanton Unified School District has named Linda Flagler as its 2015-16 Classified Employee of the Year.

Flagler, administrative secretary for the curriculum department, has been with PUSD for 20 years -- starting as a substitute in 1995. She has also held the positions of health clerk at Walnut Grove, school clerk at Harvest Park and office assistant in human resources.

According to her colleagues, Flagler wears a variety of hats in her position. Not only does she work with a diverse group of people in her department, she is also involved with the greater Pleasanton community. Most importantly, she always maintains a positive attitude along with a great work ethic and incredible drive to improve PUSD.

"Linda is a consummate professional, always going out of her way to support everyone," said Pleasanton schools superintendent Parvin Ahmadi. "Linda is truly a gem and she plays a critical role in the success of our Educational Services Department which in turn impacts teaching and learning in our schools."

Flagler's name has been submitted to the Alameda County Office of Education for the county's Classified Employee of the Year program.
