Fremont man identified as driver killed in Highway 84 crash

Fatal crash caused all lanes to close Monday night

The driver who was killed in a crash on state Highway 84 south of Pleasanton Monday was identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau today as 61-year-old Jacky Lo of Fremont.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of a crash on westbound Highway 84 east of I-680 and Little Valley Road at about 6:50 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses reported that a car had spun out and then went off of the road and into trees, CHP officials said.

Emergency crews pronounced Lo, the man driving the car, dead at the scene, according to the CHP.

No other injuries were reported.
