Valley Humane to sponsor 'Winter Wonderland' home tour today

Selected downtown homes on display for December fundraiser

Valley Humane Society will sponsor a "Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland" holiday home tour and fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in downtown Pleasanton.

Tickets are $35 per person and proceeds go to support the programs of Valley Humane Society, a nonprofit animal rescue organization.

Each of the featured homes on the tour is unique and is located near downtown. The tour begins at 4444 First Street, across from Wayside Park. Park your car and stroll down the street, stopping to enjoy a peek into some of Pleasanton's most beautiful homes, all decked out for the holidays.

Carolers, raffle prizes, refreshments and unique shopping opportunities complete the festivities, according to a Humane Society spokesman.

For more information and to purchase tickets to the Holiday Home Tour, contact Valley Humane Society at (925) 426-8656 or visit its website,

Valley Humane Society is located at 3670 Nevada St. and is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Tickets can also be purchased at Towne Center Books, Murphy's Paw and The Wine Steward in downtown Pleasanton.

Tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event at 4444 First Street.
