Recari, at 23, ushers in a fresh face after winning LPGA Challenge tour

Spanish starlet becomes a golfer's favorite in Danville competition

Beatriz Recari, who captured the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge Sunday, has ushered in a fresh new face on tour.

The Spanish starlet has been competing on the professional circuit since she turned 18.

Now, at age 23, she has become one of golf's rising young stars.

At the CVS Challenge, Recari shot two under in the final round to hold off France's Gwladys Nocera by one shot for her first LPGA title. The win was even more impresive considering Recari is in her rookie season on the LPGA Tour.

She finished with a 2-under 70 and a 14-under 274 total on the Blackhawk Country Club course.

Nocera birdied the final hole for a 70.

Michele Redman (76) and Karine Icher (70) tied for third at 12 under.
