Highs in the 90s are back today, tomorrow in Pleasanton, Tri-Valley

Forecast of 96 degrees for mid-day could tie record set in 1971

It's Columbus Day and Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley are facing a high temperature of 96 degrees by mid-day, which would tie the 96-degree record high on this date set back in 1971.

Tomorrow is expected to be even hotter with a high of 99 degrees by mid-day.

"Cooler" temperatures are ahead with highs in the mid-90s on Thursday and then dropping back into the 80s for the weekend.
