Meet the artists today at the Museum On Main

Pleasanton Art League opening 8-week-long downtown exhibit

The Pleasanton Art League and Pleasanton's Museum On Main will open an 8-week-long exhibit today, called "Imagination Expressed 2010" and featuring works by 35 PAL members.

This fourth art show includes two-dimensional paintings, photographs and tapestries, and three-dimensional baskets, ceramics, fused glass, jewelry and porcelain.

The public is invited to meet the artists at a reception from 2-4 p.m. today. Refreshments will be served.

The public also nvited to join the artists in exploring the imaginations of Pleasanton's art community. Artists will demonstrate and talk about their particular art forms at various times during presentation hours that are from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday-Friday and 2-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

The exhibit closes on Sunday, Oct. 17.

Participating artists include Charlotte Severin, Pat Smith, Linda Sailors, Pushpa Dalal, Carole Hilton, Gail Ruvalcaba, Norma Webb and Eugenia Zobel. Artwork will be available for sale.

Museum On Main is located at 603 Main St. The museum is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
