Developer announces new 69-home subdivision in Dublin

Dubbed Livorno at Positano, construction planned for October in city's eastern hills

K. Hovnanian Homes is planning a new neighborhood of single-family homes at Positano, a master-planned community in the rolling hills along the eastern edge of Dublin.

Dubbed Livorno at Positano, the community will feature a limited edition of 69 homes with three distinct new home designs ranging from approximately 2,500 to more than 3,000 square feet.

The builder plans to begin construction on the community's model homes in October and open for sales in November.

The developer said Dublin was selected for the new community of homes due to its growing population and proximity to employment centers, retail services, educational facilities, recreational centers and public transportation. Located just one mile from Interstate 580, near the intersection of Positano Parkway and Fallon Roads in Dublin, the development will also be near the Pleasanton-Dublin East BART station.

"In recent years, Dublin has undergone extensive commercial and residential development to meet increasing demand," said Mary Lou Hovie, director of marketing for K. Hovnanian Homes. "The homes planned at Livorno are designed to meet the needs of a variety of homebuyers, including local families, single professionals and working commuters."

Dublin's population has grown by nearly 50 percent since 2000, and is expected to increase by another 25-35 percent in the next 10 years.

We do not need anymore single family homes or any other development in Dublin right about now! Tons of Condo's that sit empty....High unemployment...lots of traffic...No more Development! Next... the Dublin arch near the honda dealership on dougherty road? what a waste of federal grant money? Its an eyesore.....a joke and makes no sense what so ever? Next... There was a time the political machines in Dublin,Livermore and Pleasanton had plans and visions that were made from good common today its all greed, self serving no common sense decision making! The tri valley is becoming known as little L.A.? That's not what the good people of the Tri-valley want or deserve!

Lahommed, This has probably been 'in the works' for years with bureaucracy in motion. Maybe on another planet you could be RULER !! It is this or these investors' money to LOSE as they wish !! Freedom in the marketplace is a miracle.

Living with a family in a condo ain't that great Lahommed so shut your pie hole! Feel free to buy those empty condos or come up with a plan to get more single 20 somethings to move to Dublin and fill up those condos.
