Pleasanton Concert Band at Alden Lane this afternoon

Free public concert offers music from famous composers

The Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre will continue its production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" starting at 2 p.m. today at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore.

The band will be play a variety of musical styles, including selections from popular songs, oldies, pops and marches, according to Bud Engel, vice president and a member of the band. Music from famous composers will provide a backdrop to the musical themes provided in the program.

"It's free to all," Engel said. "Come enjoy the beauty of sound and sight at Alden Lane."
