Partly cloudy skies today in Pleasanton, Tri-Valley, but hotter days are ahead

Weather Service calls for high-to-mid-80s for the weekend, early next week

Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley today with a 30 percent chance of occasional rain and a high temperature of 78 degrees. West winds of 5 to 15 mph are anticipated.

Tonight, the Tri-Valley is expected to be mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s and west winds of 5 to 20 mph.

For Saturday, skies over the Tri-Valley will start off partly cloudy before clearing to become mostly sunny. A hot summery day will follow with a high of 87 degrees expected by mid-day.

Temperatures in the mid-to-high 80s will continue on Sunday and through the early part of next week in Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley with mostly sunny skies also predicted, according to the National Weather Service.
