Today is last day to register to vote in June 8 primary

Forms available at Pleasanton City Hall, post office and pubic library

The deadline to register or re-register to vote in the June 8

Gubernatorial Primary Election is today.

Registered voters must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old on

Election Day, not in prison or on parole for a felony conviction, and not deemed by a court to be mentally incompetent to register and vote.

Voters must re-register if they have moved, changed their names, or want to change political party affiliation.

Registration cards must be signed and submitted in person or

through the mail.

They can be obtained from an election office, the Pleasanton City Hall, post office, pubic library and the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Cards can also be downloaded from the Secretary of State's website at http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/english.pdf.

A registration card postmarked by today that reaches elections officials by the close of the polls on Election Day is considered eligible.
